With worldwide interest in DNA genealogy, forensic DNA indentification is more possible today.

If the remains could be DNA tested by the organization that is in charge . They could maybe identify the soldier.

I think the round, brown Bakelite box is not for Gramophone Needles, but for paint tape for typewriting machines. Eupen is not a German City, it is in Belgium. The small, oval enamel sign with the inscription "Tellertuch" is for a kitchen towel to dry up dishes/plates. In the past there was different type oft these signs used. Some were "Gläsertuch" for drinking glasses, "Messertuch" for silver knifes and so on. So they had different towels for different use. The white porcelain shard with the inscription "Graupen" was once a kitchen storage container for barley groats. Nice finds at all 🙂
